Reports by alleged mind control victims are similar to UFO abductees in that both lack physical evidence and rely upon subjective narrative. Of course the basis of most current mind control technologies are described as requiring no actual implants, working instead, on modern wireless EM transmission techniques. So the difficulty in pinning down any truth on either matter should be obvious.

Dr. Jacques Vallee pioneered research into the psychological warfare thread which winds throughout the global ufo lore. John Keel has also written of the Manchurian Candidate mind control componant of certain ufo cases.

Much of the literature on psychotronics intimates possible modes of communication between "alien" intelligences and human consciousness. SMiles stated in the introduction to issue one of ELFis:
