Topic for Discussion
Given the proliferation in recent years of ufo/paranormal/dreamtime
imagery in the media (VW's "Reverse Engineered From UFO's" ad comes glaringly
to mind), do you feel that this is actually changing or affecting the phenomenon
itself? Is the mass-media consciousness causing the UFO phenomenon to change
the way it interfaces with us?
Eugenia Macer-Story
The basic question is whether
the "ufo phenomenon" has assimilated and is utilizing images of itself
generated by Earthside communications media. One would expect that regardless
of the ineptitude of these Earthside images, an advanced intelligence would
use whatever scraps of recognition might be available if direct communication
was attempted. Actually, "ufo" is an interruption of expected events by
a shift of timespace circumstances which cannot immediately be explained
by limited human intelligence. One example of this image insertion is given
at the end of this article. Fragmentary words and phrases will at first
be uttered to name this timespace shift. But these names, such as "ufo"
or "ovni"or "psi photo" are not the actual complete names known to Advanced
Intelligence more familiar with timespace manipulation.
An example of the same type of image assimilation
can be found in the adaptation by fond parents of whatever name the baby
happens to use for them when first speaking words. However, misunderstandings
can arise if the parent always uses the baby's ID image without correction.
As one instance of this type of situation, I recall that for several
years of my young life I thought my Grandmother Macer was named "Me". For
when I was visiting her as an infant, she would say:"Come to me" or "Smile
for me". Other adults had apparantly said:"Come to Auntie" or "Smile for
Daddy", indicating who they were by using that basic syntax. So the child
assumed the adult saying:"Come to Me" WAS named "Me". My Grandmother, like
all fond Granparents, thought this babytalk was "cute" and began calling
herself "Me", a name close enough to "Ma" not to be a total embarrassment.
Yet there came a day when the child realized that other Grandmothers were
not named "Me". This was a profoundly distressing realization.
So it is very important when dealing with Advanced Intelligence--to
whom we may be like children--to remember that this Intelligence has the
option of using (and thus reinforcing) our limited idea of identity OR
of using a more complete and accurate identity. The problem is simply--from
the point of view of Advanced Intelligence: will the Cosmic Child really
understand why the correction is being made ? Or will the correction made
too prematurely or abruptly destroy the rapport between Advanced Intelligence
and the less advanced, childlike being? How important is rapport? Is simple
"togetherness" as important as a more complete, mutual understanding?
Is there, then, any correction of popular "ufo" imagery which the phenomenon
itself is in the process of attempting to communicate? Early 1950's
disk vehicles with hardware store levers and gears, as shown in black &
white sf films and early tv, used chrome and show window stage design which
is still seen in Mall displays of clothes and appliances. Subsequent to
this initial craze, there developed animated ET and space probe dolls.
Yet the "ufo phenomenon" itself does NOT use kiddie-ET prototypes when
manifesting subsequent to 1980. There are few, if any, sightings of animated
purple bean bags stamped "ET for ages 3-7". Yet the "disk" and "light"
sightings continue. What should this indicate to the ufo-anthropologist?
Obviously: the Advanced Intelligence is refraining from joining the cartoon
party being held Earthside in ET's honor. At a recent SPACE group meeting
in New York City, a fascinating plan was uttered by the co-ordinator, Harold
Eggelin. This is simply to pay attention to the FIRST ufo contactees of
the Twentieth Century--before they had been grabbed and influenced by the
media and intelligence organizations.
The intention of honestly studying the early accounts of Adamski and
Howard Menger, who claimed that beings from another planet looked and spoke
like adult human beings but were manifesting powers of mind control and
teleportation, is simply to cut through the accumulation of dimestore goo
to the very first accounts of "ufo contact" with Advanced Intelligence
which were not altered by filmmakers for presentation to children.
The Advanced Intelligences making "ufo contact" have a sophistocated
agenda. George Adamski, who had studied Tibetan mysticism, assumed at first
they were linked to his Tibetan studies. There is no reason to suppose
this Advanced Intelligence did not "engineer" the fact that Adamski's photo
of their space vehicle looks like a light fixture. Over and over, the "ufos"
stop, bolex and alter car engines, home computers, electrical power lines,
photographic film and so on. The "message" is simple. These electrical,
chemical and mechanical gadgets are not the last word in communications.
Advanced Intelligence is "out there" somewhere playing molecular configuration
games which demonstrate that Earthside technicians cannot control the shape
of events simply by the use of electro-mechanical arrangement--even if
these are highly sophistocated computer installations.
As narrated in my recent book DARK FRONTIER, my research has taken me
toward a study of the materialization and/or "tulpa" phenomenon known to
Tibetan adepts and sorcerers of all worlds. I have photographed--unexpectedly--solid,
technicolor objects and people which are NOT wraiths and were not in 3-d
frame when the photo was taken.
While living in Hoboken, N.J. during the early 1980's I was investigating
"ufo contactees" and sightings in Tobyhanna, PA and Wanaque, NJ and at
the same time experiencing unusual phenomena in my apartment. Some of these
experiences are detailed in my book DR. FU MAN CHU MEETS THE LONESOME COWBOY:
SORCERY AND THE UFO EXPERIENCE. One of the enigmatic photos which appeared
on my film at that time was of two, clear slanted windows showing blue
sky with a few clouds. I called them "space windows" because they seemed
set in the sides of an elevated cockpit.
Years passed. A few months ago at my house in Woodstock, while sitting
at my desk on a loft platform and idly looking out the side window at a
lovely, clear blue sky, I had a startling realization. The "space windows"
in my 1982 photo were of the loft windows in my 1999 Woodstock house! But
the loft addition to this small cottage was built in 1997. So I was not
registering "space" windows on my film but windows from my own future,
a place not yet built in 1982. It is by these sometimes funny image manipulations
that the actual ufo phenomenon is communicating in zen koan style--using
our own images to present dilemmas and riddles which break the limitations
of pre-programmed expectation.
